Q: What's your beauty specialty/niche? A: Color is my absolute favorite. There are so many choices, so much creativity! I feel like a mad scientist when formulating the color shades and tones, and like a true artist when picking the pattern for each person’s face shape. I do believe that every great color needs a complementing hair cut. I love to customize each and every client's color and cut to their individual style. Q: How would your clients describe you and your style? A: My clients would say I am ever-changing my style and look. I like to keep up with the latest trends but add my own retro look to everything and make it mine! Q: What do you like best about being a hairstylist? A: I love the interaction I get with people on a daily basis. I love the feeling that I get when I know I've made someone feel really good about them selves. If someone comes to me not having the best day or week, I guarantee they will have their spirits up when they leave my chair!

he continued his education by training with many different companies including Matrix, Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, American Crew, Redken, Schwarzkopf, & Farouk. Hair shows are another favorite source of inspiration, having participated at the resent Lake Escape at Lake of the Ozarks. Chrystal is the newest member of the Art of Hair family. Chrystal completed her degree in Education and minor in Marketing at the University of Missouri, where she later worked for 5 years. Chrystal has always had a dedication for hair and fashion. After being in the salon often to work on marketing and advertising with Maja, watching both Maja and Jason work, she began to think a career in Cosmetology would be a perfect fit for her. Chrystal has been apprenticing at Art of Hair since February 2010. An apprenticeship is considered “on the job” training. Cosmetology apprentices work as assistants in salons and learn by doing. Chrystal is required to do both in-classroom theory and practical work. She will be eligible for her Cosmetology licensee after completing 3000 hours and passing her state board exam. After completing 350 hours, of basic practical training and theory, including the history of Cosmetology, hair cutting, coloring, and most important the daily life of a Cosmetologist, she was able to start working on clients. She has also attended several hair shows and classes to enhance her learning experience. 
As of August 1st 2011, Chrystal has completed 3000 hours of training! She has a natural strength in hair styling and can create a beautiful updo for any occasion. She gotten a great experience experience with color and highlighting… and her creativity is really blooming.

A: Laughing all day with my friends, family, and clients….and awesome eye makeup!
Hannah is our newest addition, she believes that your hair cut, color, and style are the starting essentials to a complete image. While in her chair, you will learn about the complementing looks of your eyebrows and makeup and, most importantly she teaches you how to recreate the complete look at home. Hannah has a passion for education and sharing her knowledge. After finishing Cosmetology College, she decided to further her skill and technique by going back to school for her instructor license while working at a salon in Jefferson City. She truly believes education is very important and is constantly taking new classes and staying up on latest trends and techniques. Hannah has traveled to Chicago and St. Louis for the hair-shows, and to take the continued education classes.
Hannah is always experiencing the latest techniques and constantly working on innovative methods to push boundaries of modern hair.
